Policies for February - December 2019

Inspiring a Love of Music since 2009

Thank you for letting me help you on your musical journey! These policies have been crafted to help you get the most out of your lessons.

About Lessons

  • Private lessons are 45 min. in length and group classes are 60 min.

  • All students participate in group classes as well as private lessons.

  • Group classes take the place of private lessons for one week of each month.

  • Please accompany young children into the studio.

  • No gum is allowed in the studio.

  • Parents must return 5 minutes before the lesson ends.

Options for Missing a Lesson

  • Lesson Swap - Visit http://www.katstarrmusic.com/makeups-1/ to view Lesson Swap Schedule.  Use this feature to ask another student to swap times!

  • Send a Friend - Send a friend of family member to take your place.

  • Makeup

    • Lessons are a commitment to a set day and time, therefore only one make-up lesson will be offered per quarter, schedule permitting.

    • Once a make-up lesson is scheduled it cannot be rescheduled.

    • Makeups may only be scheduled in the same quarter as the missed lesson.

    • Makeups do not roll over from quarter to quarter.

    • There are no adjustments in tuition for student absence.

    • Please do not bring children who are ill.  If your makeup has already been used you may attempt swapping lesson times or send a friend.

    • Please notify Ms. Kat by phone (931-706-9496) or email (kat.starr.music@gmail.com) if you must miss a lesson.

    • Find “Open Make Up” options at http://www.katstarrmusic.com/calendar/.

  • Please do not risk traveling to your lesson if you feel unsafe!  Let Ms. Kat know as soon as you can and your lesson will be rescheduled, not counting as your once-per-quarter makeup.

  • Tuition is due by the 10th of each month, regardless of attendance or when the first lesson falls.

  • If tuition is mailed or handed on the 11th or after, please add a $10 late fee.
